Went on an orchid walk yesterday near Winchester, then came back and noticed this in my parents' lawn! Amazingly it survived the mower.Drinking #orangewine in the sun, planning an Autumn trip - when it probably won't be quite so sunny....The downside of yesterday's walk to find orchids - tree clearance resulting from the tragedy of #ashdieback . Having a real impact here on the South Downs as a large proportion of our mature trees are common ash (Fraxinus excelsior), which are being hit very hard and really won't be so common anymore.Fabulous orchid hunt today. #burntorchid #burnttiporchidArchives
